The Stevens Leadership Impacting Technology (L.I.T.) program empowers students to become involved in various facets of campus and community life, from individual leadership development to participation in community service programs. Tackle a ropes course with your peers and engage with the Hoboken community in this fun-filled and rewarding Pre-Orientation!
Experience the performing arts both on campus and in NYC while meeting arts professionals and other students interested in the arts. Workshops in improv, Shakespeare, musical theater and backstage tech are included, as well as jam sessions for the musicians and trips to experience NYC theater. No experience necessary, just an open mind and an interest in the arts.
This dynamic experience takes advantage of the many opportunities you have to stay active around the Hoboken area while also helping you maintain a sound mind and body while a Stevens student.
Are you first-generation and/or limited income (FLI)? At Stevens, a first-generation college student is someone whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) have not graduated from a four-year college or university. Students who self-identify as limited income may receive a Pell Grant or funding through New Jersey’s EOF program. If you identify as FLI, you are invited to participate in this specialized pre-orientation experience. Make early connections with peers, meet faculty and staff, explore the area, get tips for college and learn about campus resources.
Families are invited to stay after move-in on Thursday for a lunch and info session that will end at 4PM.
This Pre-Orientation program is 1-day only, taking place on Saturday, August 24.
Hoping for a low-key pre-orientation program? The “less-quack” program is only one day long and is designed as a lower-stress, lower-stimulation experience that will familiarize you with campus buildings and resources, in addition to providing activities on campus that will allow you to get to know your peers.
